Schistosomal Hepatic Fibrosis and Vitamin A Deficiency in a Seven-year Old Child: A Case Report.

Abstract

Summary: A case of schistosomal hepatic fibrosis and hypovitaminosis A in a 7-year old child is reported. The hypovitaminosis was treated with Vitamin A with partial success. The patient however, died from hepatic failure, eight months after the initial hospitalisation.
