Complaints and appeals

The editorial board is open to complaints by authors and reviewers. Divergent opinions about the content of published articles are welcome in the form of publishable correspondence (also known as Letter to the Editor). Complaints about the conduct of the research leading to the content of manuscripts should be directed to the Editor-in-Chief for investigation. Other complaints, dissatisfaction or displeasure about relevant component parts of the editorial process should also be channelled to the Editor-in-Chief for processing to the Editorial Board. Such complaints will be examined on their merits by the editorial board and decisions will be appropriately taken. Such decisions may include provision of detailed explanations or review of the process as deemed necessary, based on the global best practices in journal editing and publishing, provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics, Directory of Open Access Journals or the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.
